The CMUR 50K route winds along paths, forest roads, mule tracks, and crosses the Teodule Glacier. Participation is reserved to athletes who are used to long travel time and have the ability to independently manage various challenges that may arise in this specialty, such as demanding sections, difficult weather conditions, physical or mental fatigue, illness, or physical issues.
The race is included in the international ITRA (International Trail Running Association) calendar.

The CMUR 50 course winds along trails, forest roads, mule tracks, and crosses the Teodulo Glacier. Participation is limited to athletes who are aware of the long completion times and possess the ability to independently manage various challenges that may arise in this type of race, such as difficult sections, adverse weather conditions, physical or mental fatigue, illness, or physical problems.
The race starts at 06:00 on Saturday (refer to the program for the exact date) from Breuil Cervinia Valtournenche (AO); in case of bad weather, it may be postponed to the next day.
The race operates in semi-self-sufficiency with a mandatory water reserve of at least one liter. Semi-self-sufficiency means being able to travel between two refreshment points without assistance.
The course will be monitored by organization staff and Alpine Rescue personnel (Mountain Guides) in constant contact with the base.
Participants must be at least 18 years old and possess a medical certificate for competitive sports, recognized in their country of residence. Athletes must thoroughly read the rules and ensure they are fit for the race.
ELITE RUNNERS
Registration will be free for competitors with 820 ITRA points (men) or 720 ITRA points (women).
To register, send an email with your details to info@cervinosportevents.it.
At the start (at least 15 minutes before), athletes must position themselves at the front of the line according to their bib number and, if they finish in the top positions, they must attend the award ceremony.
A general classification for men and women will be compiled. The top five overall finishers and the top finishers in each category (if not already awarded) will be recognized.
A valid ID is required to collect race bibs. If collecting a bib for another competitor, a written authorization must be presented.
Race packs and race numbers will be handed out in front of the church in Breuil Cervinia
By registering, competitors authorize the organizing company to use images, both still and moving, related to their participation in the Cervino Matterhorn Ultra Race, without territorial or time limits.
By voluntarily registering and participating in the race, competitors fully accept these rules, including any changes made. By registering, participants also release the organizers from any liability, civil or criminal, for damages to people or property caused by or to them.
ITRA (International Trail Running Association) members can subscribe to insurance covering search and rescue expenses worldwide (itra.run/Runners/AboutInsurance). All registered participants will also receive a CSAIN membership card, which includes basic annual insurance(www.csain.it/assicurazioni/unipolsai-nuovo-partner-assicurativo-per-csain/)
If the race is canceled due to force majeure up to 15 days before the event, the organization may refund up to 80% of the registration fee or allow athletes to defer their registration to one of the next two editions by request.
Registered competitors who withdraw will not receive a refund unless for proven health reasons.

All participants may undergo doping controls before, during, or after the race. Refusal or abstention will result in the same sanctions as a positive result.
Complaints may only be submitted via email (info@cervinosportevents.it) within 24 hours of the event's conclusion.
